Victor Meseguer joined Social Economy Europe, the EU-level representative organisation for the Social Economy, in October 2014.

He studied Political Science at the Pompeu Fabra’s University of Barcelona, with an ERASUS year at King’s College London. Victor holds a Master degree in European Affairs from the “Université Libre de Bruxelles” (IEE).

Social Economy Europe was set-up in November 2000 as the European Standing Conference of Co-operatives, Mutual Societies, Associations and Foundations (CEP-CMAF), to promote the recognition and further development of the social economy at EU-level. In January 2008, CEP-CMAF changed its name and became Social Economy Europe. SEE operates in areas of common interest to its members in line with the principle of subsidiarity to ensure the added-value of the actions under-taken by the organisation. SEE is in charge of the secretariat of the European Parliament’s Social Economy Intergroup.

In a changing world, the social economy fosters a project for a society built on solidarity and democracy, for which citizens’ actions are the heart of its activities.
